A silver color mace, engraved on the head of the dome an image of a faceted star, surrounded by wavy flourishes of palms, encircling the head-shaft a border scroll engraved "THIRTY-SIXTH INFANTRY DIVISION BAND," down the shaft on either side, a flint Indian arrowhead surmounted by the block "T."
